Q. My rapidFIRE is continuously beeping, could this be a low voltage alarm?

A. Yes, If the rapidFIRE supply voltage is much lower than the specifications of the module, then it will beep, and it will not function correctly.

Check the voltage reading in the about menu. If it not close to 5.0V then this will cause the problem.

A.If the problem is not the supply voltage, then verify that the module is not in long range mode.

Q. Why does my rapidFIRE (purchased 2024) not have audio support?

Due to a severe shortage of critical parts ImmersionRC/Orqa were forced to release a batch of rapidFIRE modules without audio support.
These modules were clearly marked with a different SKU on the packaging box (Stock code/Bar code), than the original:

Original: 840630182222
Audio-Free: 701220489827

The performance of these modules is exactly the same.

If the packaging has been discarded, it is possible to verify whether a rapidFIRE has audio support or not, by carefully separating the two PCBs, after removing the circular black clip, and also the black clip that surrounds the 0.1" header pins.

Once the two PCBs are separated, carefully remove the top of either of the metal RF module cans.

If the module has a large blue component with three metal legs, in a hole in the PCB, then it has audio support. If there is just a large hole in the PCB then it does not have audio support.
